Monitor Maintenance
  1. Clean the outside of your computer's monitor with Simple Green, 409, or a similar cleaner.
  2. Spray a cloth with glass cleaner and wipe the screen. If you attempt to clean an LCD computer screen, be careful not to press too hard on the screen. Be sure to use a clean, soft cloth.

We do not recommend cleaning the inside of a conventional monitor (CRT) unless you are an experienced technician. The pc monitor's picture tube retains a high voltage even after the power is shut off.
