How can I change the Windows startup screen?

Depending on what Windows 9x products you have installed, the screen that appears is LOGO.SYS and is in the root of your boot drive - usually C:\. If it does not exist, you haven't installed any Windows 9x products that bother the startup, such as Microsoft Plus! LOGO.SYS is a Windows Bitmap and can be read by Paint. It is a 320 x 400 file, but if you use a program that will stretch that, you can see it how Windows 95 will display it: 640 x 480. Also, be sure that it is no more than 256 colors. To make your own, simply create a new picture that is 640 x 480. After you are finished, stretch it to 320 x 400 and save it as LOGO.SYS in the root of your boot drive.
