Telephone Line Splitter

The splitter is used to connect both the telephone and modem to the same line. It is necessary to use the splitter which came with your computer, as a standard RTSC telephone splitter will not work properly.

When troubleshooting modem issues verify that the lines are correctly attached to the telephone splitter. A line must run from the wall jack directly into the socket labeled 'wall' on the splitter. Also, a standard handset telephone MUST be plugged in to the socket on the splitter labeled 'phone'.
